Joey, I just managed to get that quote and link up there about five minutes ago! I was having technical difficulties with the text widget—couldn’t get just “Ghostwrite Pro” to be the link unless I put it in a separate widget. So it looks a little goofy, but it gets the job done!

Michael – Thanks for sharing your enthusiasm! I like your perspective of potential future income at book’s end (now why does that sound like some kind of Winnie the Pooh place to me? Hmmm) and the brand new day that follows. I find the first week after a project quite refreshing, but the week after that I can go through a bit of a depression as I’m recovering myself after spending so much time in another person’s head/heart. At some point, I realize a new project is coming my way and can but think, as you so eloquently put it, Yippee!

Melanie – You feel the same way as I do? Michael and I aren’t alone? Woo-hoo!

You’re insight into what I didn’t say about helping people express themselves is significant. The sub-heading of your website says, “Thoughts about life, writing, and living a life worth writing about”. That goes a long way to telling me what kind of person you are. It reminds me of a song a friend of mine wrote, where the singer – in reference to God as an author – says, “I want to be a man that you would write about”. Whether that’s on track with where you’re coming from or not, your sentiment is worth emulating. (p.s. I like your “Great quote from Ghostwrite Pro” and the link-back. Thanks!)

Joey, I appreciate your straightforwardness about loving ghostwriting because of what it does for YOU. Of course it sounds more generous and noble to say that you love helping people express themselves, but you’re absolutely right—if you didn’t get something out of it yourself, if you didn’t love it, you wouldn’t do it. I feel the same way. And I appreciate clients who value the work I’m able to put into their story because of the love I have for my craft. Thanks for this post!

You’re onto it, Joey. I think we must have one of the best jobs in the world. We even have the odd knife-edged, future income moment at the end of a big project. That’s until the phone rings, and it’s a brand-new day. Yipee!
